About Kinship of Polk County

Founded in 1980, Kinship of Polk County aims to improve the quality of children’s lives through meaningful relationships with caring volunteers. These relationships promote stability, support, friendship, and a strong sense of community. Kinship offers both community-based and school-based mentoring programs, ensuring flexibility to meet various needs.

Impact of Mentoring

Research shows that children with mentors are significantly less likely to skip school, more likely to volunteer regularly, participate in extracurricular activities, and even express interest in becoming mentors themselves. Kinship provides extensive support and training for mentors, alongside fun activities throughout the year.

All orders placed prior to end of day Tuesday each week will be roasted on Wednesday and shipped on or before Friday to ensure you receive fresh coffee! 

Any orders received after end of day Tuesday will be roasted and shipped the following week.
